About Viva Technology
VivaTech is Europe's biggest startup and tech event. Co-organized by Publicis Groupe and Groupe Les Echos and dedicated to the growth of startups, digital transformation and innovation, the 5th edition will take place on June 16-19, 2021.
In 2019, the event reached 231 million people worldwide, bringing together 124,000 visitors including more than 13,000 startups, 3,000 venture capital firms and 2,500 journalists from 124 countries. This year, VivaTech will provide a hybrid experience, in person in Paris and online worldwide, that will bring together an even larger community of innovators.
About Arianespace
With its rideshare service successful introduction last year, Arianespace is now able to offer a regular launch service for small satellites (mass under 400 kg).
Customers will benefit from the highly modular payload carrying systems available on the current Vega and the future Vega C and Ariane 6 versions.
Arianespace uses space to make life better on Earth by providing launch services for all types of satellites into all orbits.
It has orbited more than 800 satellites since 1980, using its family of three launchers, Ariane, Soyuz and Vega, from launch sites in French Guiana (South America); Baikonur, Kazakhstan; and Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia.
Arianespace is headquartered in Evry, near Paris, and has a technical facility at the Guiana Space Center, Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana, plus local offices in Washington, D.C., Tokyo and Singapore.
Arianespace is a subsidiary of ArianeGroup, which holds 74% of its share capital, with the balance held by 15 other shareholders from the European launcher industry.

Arianespace will reward several projects based on operating one smallsatellite in Space, with the mission to bring data back on Earth and, eventually, improve life on our Planet or the universal knowledge.
Context / Need:
In the frame of the launch of our new rideshare / piggyback service, leading the successful launch of our smallsat mission service proof of concept last year, Arianespace intends to promote innovative projects using space for a better life on Earth.
Expected Solutions :
One satellite, max size 10x10x10cm, max weight 1,33kg. That's it!
Scope :
The satellite must have a mission to improve life on Earth and/or the universal knowledge
Examples of use cases :
Environment monitoring, mapping of the cosmos, education, weather forecast, connectivity (IoT, etc.), navigation and guidance, science, Earth observation ..
